Keeping ministry vital requires excellent resources, materials to feed your soul as well as literature for practical work in parish or agency.  This guide is designed to assist alumni of the Candler School of Theology with finding the high quality resources you have come to rely on while in graduate school. On these pages you will find several options for having access to the books, articles, and librarians who have been helpful to you.

All alumni may obtain an Emory alumni card which will also serve as a borrowing card for any Emory University Library, including Pitts.  Bring a photo ID and $10 to Room 100 in the B. Jones Administration Building to obtain the card. Check out books when you are on campus.  The loan period for alumni is 28 days with possible renewals.

The alumni portal is found on the Pitts Theology Library web site.  Look for the Borrow tab, then Candler Alumni, or bookmark this link. 

If you move so far away that a trip to campus is not practical, use your local public library to request a book via interlibrary loan.  There may be a small fee, and the book may come from a library other than Pitts, but it's a great way to continue your education and to preview potential additions to your personal library.
